S.R. 44 Road Reconstruction
Rushville, Indiana
Wessler provided the Design for the reconstruction of the pavement, curb, sidewalks, approaches, and drives on S.R. 44 in the City of Rushville, Indiana. The project also included traffic signal modernization at the U.S. 52 / S.R. 3 intersection. New storm sewers were constructed and drainage was coordinated with the City’s existing drainage. Accommodations were made for on-street parking throughout most of the project. Construction Cost: $3,159,000.
Splinter Ridge Road and Little Doe Run Road
Splinter Ridge Fish and Wildlife Area
The Splinter Ridge Road and Little Doe Road Rehabilitation included the re-grading, widening, and resurfacing of an existing 4.3 mile road that serves the Visitor’s Center and about 20 private properties. Construction included an asphalt-surfaced single, 14-foot-wide lane with no shoulders. Turnouts, passing lanes, and two way pavement markings were utilized on a two-lane, 20’ wide section where feasible. New approaches at the intersections of S.R. 56 and Little Doe Run Road were constructed. The project also included drainage features including several large culverts. Construction Cost: $2,130,000.
S.R. 26 Road Rehabilitation in Russiaville
Howard County, Indiana
Wessler is providing design for the rehabilitation of approximately seven miles of S.R. 26 from the Clinton/Howard County Line to just west of County Road 200W in Howard County. This included total reconstruction of the road in the urban area of Russiaville. The existing pavement along S.R. 26 will be resurfaced and new shoulders will be constructed. The project also includes a new storm sewer system in Russiaville and replacement of curb, gutter, and sidewalks. Several box culverts are also being constructed. Eleven rural county road intersections and eight urban street intersections will be upgraded. Estimated Construction Cost: $10,637,000.
Main Street Restoration Project
Connersville, Indiana
Wessler assisted the City of Connersville with the preparation of an Urban Design Plan for the Main Street Restoration Project, including a comprehensive plan for suggested improvements to streets, sidewalks,pedestrian traffic, street lighting, landscaping, traffic flow, parking and recommendation on promenade, which were pertinent to the City’s needs. We also provided Design, Construction Administration and Resident Project Representative Services for the construction of the improvements. The improvements included street resurfacing and the reconstruction of curbs, sidewalks, drainage structures and the addition of streetscaping items along Central Avenue. Construction Cost: $238,000.
