Manhole Inspections

Knowing underground infrastructure improvements can be costly, Village of Bluffton officials partnered with Wessler Engineering to perform on-call engineering services for the sanitary sewer system. By teaming up during field investigations, Village staff provided knowledge to Wessler Engineering's technical experts to maximize cost savings.

Experiencing wet weather issues associated with some manholes around the area and needing to find a solution that fit their budget, Bluffton Village staff identified problematic manholes. The Wessler team inspected the manholes and created a manhole rehabilitation plan to address their structural and the wet weather issues.

Working within a fixed budget, the Village and Wessler team worked together to implement the manhole rehabilitation plan that matched Village officials’ budget and performance expectations.
