Water Master Plan

Waynesville, Ohio

Wessler staff provided services for the preparation of a water master plan for the Village of Waynesville, Ohio. Services included updating geographic information system (GIS) mapping of the water distribution system, developing new water system maps, conducting hydrant flow testing at various locations in the distribution system and performing an evaluation of each component including wells, treatment, chemicals, storage, and distribution. In addition, the Wessler team compared current and future water demand conditions relative to the current system component capacities. In addition, they located and assembled water system records and data for future reference, evaluated needs for additional well capacity, determined strategic locations for new distribution valves, evaluated the replacement and looping of water main to improve water pressure, fire flow and water quality, and identified potential capital improvements required to meet current regulations and growth.

The water plan also provides a life-cycle analysis of the improvement alternatives with Wessler staff preparing a conceptual layout and costs for the improvements, providing a summary of funding alternatives and schedules for application to funding sources, design and construction of the improvements.
