Controls System Engineer II

About the Role

We’re seeking a Controls System Engineer to join our Instrumentation & Controls team in our Dublin, Ohio office. In this role, you’ll work on automation systems that directly support communities—helping keep water and wastewater systems running reliably. From troubleshooting systems in the field to modernizing SCADA environments, you’ll play a key role in delivering solutions to our clients and communities.

This is a position where you’ll see projects from start to finish, solve impactful problems, and be part of a tight-knit team that supports one another. You’ll join an employee-owned organization with long-standing tenure and a strong commitment to supporting and developing its employees.

Key Responsibilities

As a Controls System Engineer II, you’ll be a key contributor on SCADA and controls projects from concept through commissioning:

What we are looking for

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to connect and build relationships with clients
  • Problem-solving mindset, curiosity, and willingness to learn
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related)
  • Around 5+ years of controls, automation, or SCADA experience
  • Experience with PLC programming
  • Familiarity with SCADA/HMI platforms (Inductive Automation Ignition Perspective Software, VTSCADA, GE iFix, AVEVA Wonderware)
