About the Role
Wessler Engineering is looking for a motivated individual ready to build a long-term career as an Entry Level Environmental Scientist. In this role, you’ll work on environmental compliance projects, prepare reports and plans for municipalities and industries, and collaborate closely with engineers to assess environmental impacts and secure permits for construction projects. This position is based in our Fort Wayne or Indianapolis, Indiana offices.
What You’ll Do
As an Entry Level Environmental Scientist at Wessler, your day-to-day work will include:
- Environmental permitting and pollution prevention planning
- Technical report writing and field investigations
- Environmental impact research
- NPDES permitting
- Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures Plans
- Wellhead Protection Planning
- Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans
What We’re Looking For
Successful candidates for this Environmental Scientist role will have the ability to multi-task, prioritize, interpret and apply environmental regulations, and research, synthesize, and communicate new information quickly. Strong client communication skills are essential.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or a related field
- 0–2 years of related experience preferred
- Public speaking, technical writing, and computer skills
