Engineering Better Communities

The Wessler team strives to be more than an engineering firm. We want to be a part of the communities we serve. For this reason, the Wessler staff loves to celebrate the holiday season by giving back wherever possible.

Gleaners Food Bank

The Wessler team participated in a company-wide favorite event, packing food items at Gleaners Food Bank. Thirty Wessler members made the trip to Gleaners where they packed enough food to provide more than 9,000 meals for local families in need. Gleaners’ mission: to lead the fight against hunger. We do this by distributing food to hungry Hoosiers through a network of nearly 300 partner agencies in 21 counties, including emergency food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters. Free the Girls organization

The members of the Hobart office held their own day of philanthropy by helping out the Free the Girls organization at their drop-off center at Duneland Community Church in Chesterton, Indiana. The Free the Girls organization collects new and used bra donations and sends them to other countries where they are most needed. The organization provides a sustainable pathway out of poverty to sex trafficking survivors who recondition the bras and sell them to provide an income for themselves and their families to help keep them out of the sex trafficking industry. Bras in these locations are a luxury item and the women in the program not only are providing basic needs for their families, they are thriving.
