Overview

At Wessler Engineering, we work closely with community leaders and system operators to help identify their wastewater management needs and develop cost-effective, realistic solutions. This approach allows municipal officials to be proactive in their wastewater management and presents opportunity while managing risk.

Our Wastewater team is comprised of collections and treatment specialists, giving us the expertise and resources to provide wastewater services throughout your collection and treatment systems.  We have a breadth of experience in all aspects of the wastewater process.

Our team of collection system specialists have extensive experience collaborating with community officials to solve a variety of wastewater problems. In conjunction with our Field Services team, our Wastewater group conducts investigative work to identify and remedy wastewater collection issues by focusing on inflow and infiltration (I/I) reduction, addressing structural issues and restoring existing systems via trenchless rehabilitation of small, medium and large-diameter sewer systems. For new systems, our strategy is to design collection systems through detailed analysis of alternatives to generate optimal construction cost reduction while minimizing impacts to the community.

Our treatment specialists also have the experience and capabilities to design treatment and capacity upgrades based on a community’s need. Whether the focus is on revisions associated with regulatory/permit, capacity or replacement needs, we focus on leveraging existing infrastructure and new technologies to provide reduced capital and operational costs.  We perform process energy audits to increase plant capacity through improved operations without spending money on capital improvements. We also create asset management plans to inventory and evaluate the condition of a community’s infrastructure assets to allow municipal leaders to create a viable capital improvements plan so aging assets can be replaced in a financially sound manner.

Utilizing new and proven technologies, our team strives to provide innovative and cost-effective solutions in sewer extension design, existing sewer rehabilitation and wastewater treatment. Our goal is to maximize efficiency for our clients and provide expert knowledge and service through every step of the project process, no matter the size or complexity of the project.
