Progress continued in the City of Lawrence with a ribbon cutting for the Richardt Water Treatment Plant, marking the plant’s capacity to produce up to 4.3 million gallons per day (MGD) of water.
Mayor Steve Collier, Utilities Superintendent Scott Salsbery and Wessler Senior Project Manager Dylan Lambermont provided remarks about the project to a crowd of Lawrence municipal government officials, department heads, Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township, Reuse Authority, Chamber of Commerce, and Graves Brothers Construction representatives.
City officials, Wessler CEO Marty Wessler, Lambermont, and project representatives from Graves assisted Mayor Collier in cutting the ribbon. Afterwards, guests enjoyed refreshments and saw first-hand the significant plant upgrades designed to improve the City’s water capacity, treatment, and distribution as key economic development and quality of life enhancements for the entire community.
