Wessler Welcomes Brian Price

Wessler is continuing to grow and is proud to announce an addition to the team. Please join us in welcoming Brian Price! Brian has joined our Electrical Group as a Senior Project Engineer for Instrumentation and Controls, where he brings more than 14 years of experience to the table.

We asked him a handful of questions so that we all can get to know him better. Welcome to the team, Brian!

What attracted you to electrical engineering?

If I said that I grew up wanting or dreaming about being an Electrical Engineer, I would be lying. In fact, my original interest in Electrical Engineering came from trying to alter the programming in my personal vehicles to enhance their performance. While attending high school in a small town in southern Indiana, I took a few night classes at Ivy Tech in Automotive Technologies, which eventually led to full-time enrollment after graduation. During the second year of my enrollment at Ivy Tech, I became very interested in electronics and the programming of Automotive electronic components and ECMs. As I was nearing graduation for my Associates Degree, my advisor and I talked about the opportunities that I might have if I continued my studies in an Electrical Engineering program and pursued a 4-year degree. That discussion led me to apply and attend the University of Evansville to earn my BSEE. So, in short, what started out as an interest in hacking into my vehicle’s computer has turned into a very enjoyable career in Electrical and Controls Engineering, in which I have been blessed to travel the world to support customers in several different industries.

What are some things you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the gym, doing home renovation projects, and playing Golf.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and what would you do?

I’ve always wanted to travel to Hawaii and Australia. However cliché it may sound, I would like to rent a Jeep in either place and just drive around to see some of the countryside/landscape.

What are some things you are passionate about?

Stocks & equity investments, spending time with my family, and (trying to) live a healthy lifestyle.
