Industrial Stormwater Design and Environmental

Integrity Metals, Shelby County, Indiana

Wessler provided design, construction, permits and environmental engineering services for a previously undeveloped 15-acre site. Initial site selection services included survey and a wetland delineation. Once the site was selected and purchased by Integrity Metals, survey, design, construction administration and inspection services were provided and included:

  • water, sanitary and electrical utility service
  • site grading and drainage improvements including mass grading, topsoil removal, storm sewers, culverts, ditches, underdrains, and a detention pond
  • road and parking improvements included concrete access road, crushed stone access roads and crushed stone parking areas
  • stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) for erosion and sediment control
  • county drainage permit, Rule 5, Rule 6, Section 401, and Section 404 permit

Following the construction project, Wessler provided environmental engineering support for:

  • National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) general permit for industrial stormwater runoff
  • annual site compliance evaluations and summary of recommendations
  • annual regulatory reporting submittals development of a spill prevention, controls and countermeasures (SPCC) plan.
