Director of Marketing
About the Role
We are currently accepting resumes for an executive-level professional who will lead, direct, and provide strategic vision and leadership to our marketing team as the Director of Marketing. As a successful hire, you will be responsible for providing guidance to our marketing department by evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans to those involved, and building awareness and positioning for our company. You will also be responsible for working closely with the Business Development team and Company Executives to align our strategic plan, one year business plan and one year sales and marketing plan in our marketing efforts.
To be considered for this position, you will need a bachelor's degree in business, marketing or communications. You will also need to have proven experience in running a marketing team and marketing campaigns. High competency in project and stakeholder management is a huge advantage.
Director of Marketing Responsibilities:
- Overseeing marketing department from a director level.
- Developing the company’s marketing strategy and annual marketing plan.
- Directing, planning, and coordinating marketing department efforts.
- Training of marketing staff and oversight of their professional development.
- Communicating the marketing plan and marketing initiatives to the company executives, group heads and office managers.
- Leading market research efforts for our services in new geographic areas.
- Competitor research.
- Identifying potential clients along with the business development team.
- Developing marketing initiatives to increase the company's target audience and engage current clients to achieve overall growth for the company.
- Overseeing the development of social media advertising strategies to ensure that the organization approaches the correct audience and maximizes its return on investment.
- Creating SEO policies to ensure the company outranks competing pages, help the marketing team accomplish SEO tasks accurately and increase traffic to the company website.
- Leading our CRM strategy and efforts.
- Managing the company’s external brand through strategic use of the company website, industry association engagement, and social media platforms.
- Supporting sales and lead generation efforts (inbound and outbound).
- Understanding and developing marketing budgets.
- Developing and managing advertising campaigns.
- Building brand awareness and positioning.
- Directing marketing projects from start to finish.
- Collaborating with business development on company conferences, trade shows, and major events.
- Evaluating the marketing department’s ongoing needs regarding staffing, technology, automation, file maintenance, materials and other vital functions within the department.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
- Experience in marketing professional services.
- Proven experience with strategic level planning that includes an emphasis on business development strategy that aligns with the company's objectives.
- Experience achieving revenue and market share growth, market analysis planning and strategic sales growth.
- Extensive experience in marketing and leading a marketing team.
- Proven marketing campaign experience.
- Thorough understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and markets.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Professional and proactive work ethic and demeanor that enables interaction both inside and outside the company.
- Effective collaboration skills to work harmoniously with project teams and company executives.
- High competence in project and stakeholder management.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
- Strong copywriting skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage budgets.
- Experience with digital/SEO/web marketing.
- Competency in software applications including but not limited to Hubspot, Adobe InDesign, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
