GIS Technician

About the Role

Responsibilities:

Assist project managers and engineers with the design and layout of GIS Mapping and preparation of conceptual layouts and exhibits for municipal water/wastewater and stormwater utility infrastructure projects.

Typical projects include water, wastewater, and stormwater utility design.

Requirements:
Candidates must have a vocational certificate, technical certification, and or Associate’s / Bachelor’s Degree in GIS or a related field and 2-5 years of experience preferred.  Candidates will assist with the preparation and production of maps, graphics, displays, and other related data on water distribution and treatment; wastewater conveyance and treatment, stormwater conveyance and storage, or site development and grading projects.

Candidates must be proficient in ESRI ArcGIS products including but not limited to ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Field Maps, and Survey123

Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit and Pix4d software experience is a plus.

Ideal candidate will be a good communicator, technically competent, proactive, a problem-solver, willing to learn, quality-oriented, and work well in a team structure. Candidate must possess general computer skills related to Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Outlook and Excel software programs.
