Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

This position entails the study, design and construction administration of HVAC systems for water and wastewater facilities . Responsibilities for the position include:

Design and oversee the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in civil engineering projects, ensuring optimal comfort, energy efficiency, and air quality. Calculate heating and cooling loads, select appropriate equipment, design ductwork layouts, and perform system sizing and equipment selection.  Prepare study level concepts, cost estimates, design drawings, specifications, along with construction phase submittals reviews and evaluations.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years experience in HVAC design.
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Indiana P.E. license (or ability to obtain through reciprocity).
  • Must be team oriented with good communication, planning and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with building and fire code requirements as it related to HVAC system designs.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Wessler does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status for this employment position.

This position is based out of our Indiana offices in Carmel or Indianapolis.
