Congratulations to Wessler’s Newest Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control

Wessler Engineering is built on and powered by people who continually strive to improve themselves personally and professionally. Michael Ellis, one of our environmental scientists, recently earned the designation of Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC). To earn the CPESC certification, the applicant must have a combination of professional experience and educational credit totaling seven years and then pass a technical exam. Continuing education is also required to maintain the certification. CPESCs have been trained and tested on their proficiency in the following subjects and much more:

  • federal, state and local regulations
  • various permitting types and methods
  • erosion and sediment site planning and management
  • soil loss prediction.

You can learn more about the certification here. With Michael meeting all the qualifications and earning this certification, it brings the total number of CPESCs on Wessler’s Environmental Services team to four. Once again, congratulations to Michael on this great professional accomplishment!
