Prior to the improvement project, stained laundry, taste and odor were all familiar to the town’s drinking water utility customers because of high levels of iron in the water.
Remington’s proximity to I-65 meant a large water user could request to connect to the water system at any time, so a plan for dealing with these items was critical to town officials. They used a State Revolving Fund (SRF) loan to fund the improvements and significantly update the town’s water system to meet needs well into the future.
Wessler provided planning, design, survey, permitting, bid, and construction phase services for the project, including the development of all the process control programming for the automation of the wells and treatment plant.
